Green fees are welcome at all the above clubs but pre-booking is essential at Doonbeg, Lahinch and Ballybunion.

FARM VISITS
:
Sandhills House is located next door to a large dairy farm and guests, particularly children (accompanied by an adult) are welcome to visit the farm, to see daily farm work like milking the cows! 

DOLPHIN WATCHING: The Shannon Estuary is home to Ireland's only resident community of bottlenose dolphins. Over 100 dolphins have been identified at different times. The Shannon Dolphin and Wildlife Centre, located adjacent to Kilrush Creek Marina provides interesting information on the dolphins. www.shannondolphins.ie         

Dolphin Watching trips leave from both Kilrush www.discoverdolphins.ie and Carrigaholt www.dolphinwatch.ie  and dolphins are located on 98% of trips. Sailings operate from April to October, sailing times may vary and booking is advisable.

BIRDWATCHING
:West Clare offers varied and rich bird habitats - migratory shore birds, cliff colonies of Kittiwakes, Fulmars and Shags. There are also Choughs and Peregrine Falcons.  

WALKING: West Clare offers the visitor the opportunity to enjoy breathtaking scenic coastal and cliff walks, trails through boglands or woodlands and strolls through quiet country roads.
